Visitors can learn of one of the largest engagements of the War of 1812 through special events, reenactments, exhibits, and educational programs at this park. The grounds are open all year, but the visitor center is closed from October 1st through March, except for special events. Dogs are allowed on the grounds; they are not allowed in any of the buildings. Dogs must be leashed and cleaned up after.
