This ferry line provides passenger service from Mackinaw City or St. Ignace to Mackinaw Island. The ride takes less than 20 minutes. During peak times, ferries depart every 15 minutes. Round trip rates for adults are $16 per person, $7.50 for children 5 to 12 and free for children under 5. Family pets are welcome but need to be leashed and you will need to show proof of current rabies vaccine (dog tag) and current license (dog tag). Bikes are an extra $6.50. Rates are subject to change. The ferries also have wheelchair accessible facilities. To get to the Mackinaw City dock, take exit 339 off I-75. Turn left at the stop sign and continue to Central Avenue. Turn left and into the Gateway. To get to the St. Ignace dock, take exit 344-A off I-75. Follow US 2 east through downtown to the north end of town. Free daily and overnight onsite parking are guaranteed.
