Rich with a long natural and cultural history, this urban treasure offers a multitude of recreation and educational opportunities along its many miles covering 11 regional parks, more than 20 major sites of interest, and a dozen informative visitor centers. Dogs are allowed throughout the byways, parks, and at many of the sites of interest; they are not allowed in any buildings. Dogs may not be left unattended at any time, and they must be well behaved, leashed, and under their owner's control and care at all times.
