This park is on a premier fishing lake with a dam built by the Corp of Engineers (on National Register of Historical Places), and offers spectacular views, abundant plant and wildlife, and various recreational pursuits. Dogs of all sizes are allowed at no additional fee. Dogs may not be left unattended unless they will be quiet and well behaved, and then only for a short time. Dog must be on no more than a 6 foot leash, and cleaned up after. Dogs are allowed on the trails. This campground is closed during the off-season. The camping and tent areas also allow dogs. There is a dog walk area at the campground. There are no water hookups at the campground.
