As well as offering a wide variety of land and water recreational opportunities, this almost 3000 acre park also offers interpretive programs and exhibits, naturalist programs year round, an abundance of wildlife and trails that link to Minnehaha Park and the Minnesota Valley National Wildlife Refuge. Dogs are allowed throughout the park; they are not allowed in buildings or on the public swim beach. Dogs must be leashed and under their owner's control and care at all times.
