This park is an important archaeological and paleontological site; they have a museum that displays a full-size replica of a mastodon skeleton, and they offer educational programs and a variety of trails. Dogs of all sizes are allowed at no additional fee. Dogs may not be left unattended, and they must be leashed and cleaned up after. Dogs are not allowed in buildings, but they are allowed on the trails. From December through February, the museum is open Monday, Thursday through Saturday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., Sunday from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. and is closed Tuesday and Wednesday. The remainder of the year, the museum is open Monday through Saturday from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and Sunday from 12 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. The museum is closed on New Year's Day, Easter, Thanksgiving and Christmas.
