In addition to being the state's first commercial district (now listed on the National Register of Historic Places) this area is home to a number of historic and noteworthy sites. Self guided tour maps can be obtained at the visitor center or at several of the local hotels. Dogs are not allowed in buildings, and they must be leashed and cleaned up after at all times.
