The Preservation Society of Chapel Hill was founded in 1972 to protect the atmosphere of Chapel Hill by preserving its historic natural and man-made landmarks. Dogs are not allowed on the guided tours to homes, but there is a short self guided walking tour around the Horace Williams house, and on Franklin Street to downtown. Dogs must be on leash. Get a brochure at the address above before you begin the walk.
