In the mist of a bustling city, this 182 acre wilderness preserve has much to offer year round; in addition to its marshes, creeks, woodlands, fields, herb garden, and bird observation areas, there are exhibits and educational programs offered at the Forestry Center campus. The real treat here for hikers are the excellent array of easy terrain trails brimming with lush greenery, and self-guided trails like the tree identification trail and the plant/wildlife woodlands trail. Dogs are allowed on leash, and please clean up after your pet.
