This museum is dedicated to the research, education, and preservation of this unique mining area. Although dogs are not allowed on tours of the mines they may explore the grounds where there are outdoor exhibits of mining equipment. Dogs must be under their owner's control, leashed, and cleaned up after at all times. Dogs are not allowed in any of the buildings.
