This lighthouse is the oldest one in the state, and only the 4th oldest active lighthouse in the U.S. and the beauty of the area leads to a number of special events taking place here. Although dogs are not allowed in the lighthouse or in the museum, they are allowed for day use, on the beach, and the area offers a number of areas to hike and explore. Dogs must be leashed, cleaned up after, and under their owner's control at all times.
