In addition to the off-leash dog runs listed, New York City allows dogs to be off-leash in designated areas of certain parks between the hours of 9 pm and 9 am during hours when the parks are open. There are many park areas that are designated this way in all boroughs. To find these designated parks, see the website http://www.nycgovparks.org/sub_things_to_do/facilities/af_dog_runs.html. Please check this website for updates to the off-leash policies in New York. New York City Off-leash Dog Parks are run by the New York City Parks Department. They can be reached at 212-NEW-YORK or by calling 311 from a phone in the city of New York.
