This ferry company offers passenger service from Port Clinton on the Ohio mainland directly to downtown Put-in-Bay on South Bass Island. Their catamaran boat can travel up to 40 miles per hour making it a fast ride across the lake. Fares start at about $12 per person one way. Children 12 and under, as well as pets of all ages, ride free. Dogs are welcome but need to be leashed and well-behaved. Pets must stay on the outside deck of the ferry. To get to the Port Clinton dock, take Route 2 and take exit 163 North Port Clinton.
