Take a self-guided tour down the scenic Hocking River on a canoe or raft. The livery will drive you and the canoe upstream and once in the water you will paddle your own canoe back down to the canoe livery. choose from a 5 mile or 7 mile trip. the shorter trip takes about 1.5 to 2 hours and costs about $25 for 2 people. the longer trip takes about 2.5 to 3 hours and costs about $30 for 2 people. if you have a child the cost is an extra $3. dogs are allowed on the canoes which can usually hold up to about a 75 pound dog. If you have a family with small children or more than 2 adults, they also offer seasonal raft rentals. The rafts usually move slower than the canoes but can hold 4 to 8 people depending on the size of the raft. Dogs are also allowed on the rafts but their nails must be already clipped. The raft rental is about $35 for the 1.5 to 2 hour trip. The livery is located in Historic Rempel's Grove behind the Old Dutch Restaurant.
