This park has one of the original canal feeder lakes and it offers many recreational activities including swimming, boating, fishing and hiking. There are over eight miles of trails including a portion that follows the Miami-Erie Canal and a trail that is part of the Buckeye Trail. Dogs are welcome at the park including the trails and campground. While dogs are not permitted on the swimming beaches, they can go into the water outside of the designated swim areas. Pets must be leashed, cleaned up after and are not allowed inside any buildings.
