With freebies ranging from shuttles to the ferry terminal to internet access to breakfast buffets, it's no wonder the Best Western Port Clinton has become one of the area's most popular hotels among our guests. Across from Lake Erie, the two-story Best Western has beach access and a seasonal outdoor pool on a sunny terrace. The 41 rooms have flat-panel TVs with cable channels, free high-speed internet access and free local calling. Refrigerators and microwaves add to the homey feel. It's a pet-friendly lodging, so feel free to bring yours along for the ride. Make-them-yourself waffles are the highlight of the complimentary buffet breakfast, served every morning in the dining area. A free shuttle to the ferry terminal is a nice perk, as is the handy coin laundry. Parking is free. Put-in-Bay and Kelley's Island are two of the offshore destinations that are easy to reach from the Best Western, as the ferry terminal is a mile away. There are family-style eateries within walking distance. If you have kids in tow, the African Safari Wildlife Park is four miles east. Stunning views are your reward at Marblehead Lighthouse State Park, 11 miles east. Toledo Express Airport is 51 miles west and Cleveland Hopkins International Airport is 67 miles east. At the Best Western Port Clinton, rooms with "lots of space" and "comfortable beds" are a big plus, as are the "good" breakfast buffets and the "friendly and helpful" staff.
Dogs up to 80 pounds are allowed. Up to two dogs are allowed per room.
