This 8 mile trail is popular for hiking, biking and jogging. This path travels along part of the original Ohio and Erie Canal Towpath. There are many trail entrances. One of them is at the Big Bend trailhead. To get there from I-77, exit at Miller Road. Turn east onto Miller Road and follow it until it ends. Then turn right on Sand Run Parkway. After you cross Revere Road you will be in Sand Run Metro Park. Follow the parkway until it ends at Merriman Road. Turn right onto Merriman Road and go about .25 miles. Go past Treaty Line Road on the right and turn left at the park entrance.
