A popular destination for naturalist as well as recreationalist, this 1,756 hectare peninsula park offers a Visitor Center, and a Natural Heritage Educational program in addition to a wide range of outdoor activities. Dogs are allowed in the park and in the campground for no additional fee; they must be leashed and cleaned up after at all times. Dogs are not allowed on the public beach; however, there is a small beach, off leash area by the group camp. Seven campgrounds share 881 sites-each with picnic tables and fire pits, and potable water, restrooms, and showers are nearby. This rv park is closed during the offseason. The camping and tent areas also allow dogs. There is a dog walk area at the campground. There are no water hookups at the campgrounds.
