Beginning on King's Street south side across from the Rideau Trailhead, this waterside 8 km trail travels through several parks, a cultural center, historical sites, and downtown areas before ending at Emma Martin Park. There are several access points along the trail with parking, and restrooms are also open 7 days a week from Victoria Day to Labor Day at several locations. Dogs are allowed on the trail and parks along the way unless otherwise posted. Dogs must be leashed and cleaned up after at all times.
