Map

The reserve is for all the wildlife and birds here and it provides a winter habitat and supplemental feeding area for the Roosevelt elk, which are most visible from November through April. The largest viewing area is at the headquarters, and they offer parking for eighty vehicles and an RV lane, a central interpretive kiosk, a large lawn area, picnic tables, brochures, and flush toilets (the only toilets in the park). There are four elk viewing areas in the reserve along H 202. Dogs are may journey this reserve with their owners, and they are allowed to go on the short trails to the viewing areas. Dogs must be on leash at all times, be well behaved, and quiet so as not to disturb the wildlife.
