This state forest is home to numerous diverse ecosystems that support a large variety of plants, fish, mammals, bird species, and year round recreation. There are several multi-use trails; the main trail is an 85 mile loop through some magnificent scenery, especially in the fall, and there are also 16 vistas points for greater viewing. Primitive camping is allowed. Dogs must be under their owner's control, leashed, and cleaned up after at all times.
