There are 2 tours offered here; Pioneer Tunnel takes visitors deep into the mountain for a lesson in "hard coal" coal mining, and the Henry Clay is a gauge steam train (once used to haul coal cars), that now take visitors 3,000 feet along side the mountain. Your pooch is welcome on both tours if they are well behaved and comfortable with being in the mine cars or on the train. Dogs must be under their owner's control at all times, and be leashed and cleaned up after. Tours last about 30 to 35 minutes.
