In addition to the natural beauty of this 195 acre park, it shares a long cultural, military, and natural history, an 1843 plantation home, many scenic trails and waterways, boardwalks (4 miles), trails, several monthly events, and a museum/heritage center featuring over 12,000 years of the area's past. Dogs are allowed throughout the park and on the boardwalks; they must be leashed and under their owner's control at all times. Dogs are not allowed in buildings.
