Naturalists, recreationalist, photographers, and those looking for educational input can all find what they are looking for here. This area has also been touted as one of the top 15 birding sites in N America by Wildbird Magazine and it was designated a "Wetland of International Importance" in 1998. Additionally, they host a number of special events throughout the year and there is a 15 mile wildlife driving tour with 12 viewing stops. Dogs are allowed on site; they must be leashed and under their owner's control.
