Rich in natural and cultural history, this site was a former NW Mounted and Royal Canadian Police post in late 1800s. They are closed on Monday and Tuesday, and open seasonally from about the end of May to the 1st week in September. Visitors can tour the fort's buildings, the town-site, a reconstructed whisky trading post, and the cemeteries. Leashed dogs are allowed on site; they are not allowed in buildings or on the tour bus.
