In addition to recreational pursuits, this historic park offers educational and entertaining programs regarding the preservation, protection, and study of the area and Native American cultures. Dogs of all sizes are allowed at no additional fee. Dogs may not be left unattended for very long, and they must be leashed and cleaned up after. Dogs are not allowed on the mounds or in the buildings, but they are allowed on the trails. The camping and tent areas also allow dogs. There is a dog walk area at the campground.
