Almost 300,000 acres of Chihuahuan Desert wilderness with a vast variety of plant and animal life await visitors here. This park is mostly for primitive camping. Dogs are allowed at no additional fee. Dogs may not be left unattended, and they must be leased and cleaned up after. Dogs are not allowed in public swim areas or in buildings. Dogs are allowed on the trails, but they are not allowed on the guided river trips. The camping and tent areas also allow dogs. There is a dog walk area at the campground. There are no electric or water hookups at the campground.
