This ecologically diverse forest provides archeological, historic, and prehistoric sites to explore in addition to offering a variety of trails, and land and water recreation. Dogs of all sizes are allowed at no additional fee. Dogs may not be left unattended; they must be cleaned up after in camp areas, and be on no more than a 6 foot leash unless being used for hunting during a designated hunting season where the uses of dogs are legal. Dogs are allowed everywhere in the park unless posted. The camping and tent areas also allow dogs. There is a dog walk area at the campground. There are no water hookups at the campground.
