Dead Horse Point, towering 2,000 feet above the Colorado River, offers breathtaking views of the canyon country and the pinnacles and buttes of Canyon Lands National Park. The park, at an elevation of almost 6,000 feet, is open year round, and they offer hiking and interpretive trails, picnicking, and a visitor's center. Dogs are allowed at no additional fee. They must be on no more than a 6 foot leash, and they are not allowed in park buildings. Dogs may not be left unattended, and they must be cleaned up after. Dogs are allowed throughout the park and on the trails.
