Located on the largest island on the lake, this 226 acre park is a commemorative to the early settlers who lived here that served in the American Revolution, and offers a variety of land and water recreation. Dogs of all sizes are allowed for no additional pet fee, and they must be declared at the time of reservation. All dogs must have proof of rabies inoculation, be on no more than a 10 foot leash or crated, and cleaned up after at all times. Dogs must be quiet, well behaved, and never left unattended. Dogs are not allowed at the cabins, beaches, picnic areas, or playgrounds; they are allowed on the trails and camping areas. This is the state's 2nd largest state campground, and they have running water, hot showers, a dump station, gaming areas, and sites large enough to take self-contained RVs. This RV park is closed during the off-season. The camping and tent areas also allow dogs. There is a dog walk area at the campground. There are no electric or water hookups at the campgrounds.
