Located in Point Defiance Park, this living history museum recreates life in the early 1800's in the first European settlement on Puget Sound. Workers from all over came to this area for the fur trade and brought with them quite a diverse trade and agricultural market. The fort also plays host to other events during the year, and their hours vary with the seasons. Dogs are welcome at the park, and at this mostly outdoor museum. Dogs are not allowed to go inside any of the buildings, and they must be leashed and cleaned up after at all times.
