This 180 natural forest park remains one of the last refuges for the diverse population of birds, animal, and plant life indigenous to the area. Sitting atop a hill in the heart of the city, there is one man-made structure on site-an 80 foot observation tower providing outstanding views, and to which all the trails lead. There are almost 6 miles of gravel hiking/interpretive trails, and a large tunnel cut into a rock that hikers can walk through. Dogs of all sizes are allowed. Dogs must be leashed and cleaned up after at all times. Dogs and visitors must stay on established paths.
