Visitors come here to watch boats, migrating salmon, or to stroll through the spectacular botanical gardens that cover 7 acres and contains more than 500 species of plant life. A rare treat here are the underground windows that offer a close up view of migrating salmon and steelhead. There are free guided tours, a theater program, interpretive exhibits, museum/visitor center, cultural/historic sites, and plenty of hiking areas. Dogs are allowed throughout the park, but neither dogs nor people are allowed off the designated paths. They especially want dogs to stay away from the flower beds. Dogs must be leashed and cleaned up after at all times.
