A 303 step wooden stairway takes you to the top of the 300-foot high rock outcropping called the Roche-A-Cri Mound offering panoramic views of the park. Dogs are allowed in camping areas, on roads, and in other areas of the park not developed for public use. Dogs are not allowed on the stairway. Dogs may not be left unattended, they must be quiet, on no more than an 8 foot leash, and be cleaned up after. Dogs are not allowed on the beach, the picnic areas, playgrounds, on cross-country ski trails or nature trails. Dogs are allowed on the hiking trails. The off season phone number is 608-565-2789. The camping and tent areas also allow dogs. There is a dog walk area at the campground. There are no water hookups at the campground.
