This forest has many recreational activities with more than 225,000 acres of lakes and forest. Dogs of all sizes are allowed at no additional fee. Dogs may not be left unattended, they must be on no more than an 8 foot leash, be cleaned up after, and be in your unit at night. Dogs are not allowed on the nature trails, but they are allowed on the hiking trails. The camping and tent areas also allow dogs. There is a dog walk area at the campground. There are no electric or water hookups at the campground.
