Pets are not allowed on the swimming beaches but they are allowed only on the beach area north of the nature center. Pets must be on an 8 foot or less leash and cleaned up after. Pets can be off leash only in the water but if one paw hits the sand, he or she must be back on leash or you may get a citation from a park ranger. Dogs are also allowed at certain campsites and on the regular hiking trails but not on nature trails, in the picnic areas or the playground.
