Whitefish Dunes State Park

This 865 acre day use park was established to protect the fragile dune environment located here. It has the highest and best preserved dunes in Wisconsin. The park is open from 8 am to 8 pm year round. Visitors nor pets are allowed on the dunes, and all must stay on the flat sandy areas. Dogs are allowed at no additional fee. Dogs may not be left unattended, and they must be leashed and cleaned up after. Dogs are not allowed in the nature center, the picnic shelters, in buildings, or on cross-country ski trails. Dogs are allowed on the hiking trails, and they are allowed on the beach from November 1st to April 1st only.
