One of the states oldest parks, there are historical sites, 2,628 scenic acres of forests, bluffs, wetlands, waterfalls, miles of trails, and more, plus a number of educational opportunities. Dogs are allowed with current license and rabies vaccinations. They may not be left unattended at campsites/cars, and they must be quiet, on no more than an 8 foot leash, and picked up after at all times. Dogs are not allowed in buildings, picnic or swim areas, marked nature trails, beaches, playgrounds, or on the cross country ski trails in winter.
