Pilot Butte Wild Horse Scenic Loop
Pilot Butte Wild Horse Scenic Loop County Road 53 north of Rock Springs Rock Springs, Wyoming

Map
Want to see wild horses roaming the Wyoming plains. Take the 23 mile driving tour through the BLM land that serves as a preserve for these wild mustangs. The road is gravel but is easy to drive in good weather. You may, or may not, see horses. However, when we visited the BLM we saw four herds of wild horses. The driving tour will take at least two hours and can take more if you sprinkle in a number of walks. Dogs must be on leash when outside of the car. There are a number of signs along the way with historical information.
