The Coyote Creek Trail is approximately 13 miles each way. The north end is paved and popular with bicyclists, rollerbladers and hikers. The sound end (south of Metcalf Rd) has an equestrian dirt trail that parallels the paved trail. Leashed dogs are allowed on both the paved and dirt trails. You can gain access to the trail at numerous points. The south trail access has parking off Burnett Ave. From Hwy 101 South, exit Cochrane Rd. Turn right on Cochrane. Then turn right on Monterey Hwy (Hwy 82). Right on Burnett Ave and the parking will be at the end of Burnett. The north trail access has parking at Hellyer Park. From Hwy 101, exit Hellyer Ave and head west. Continue straight, pay at the booth and then park. There is also parking at Silver Creek Valley Blvd for north trail access. Take Hwy 101 and exit Silver Creek Valley Blvd. Head east (toward the hills). Parking will be on the right.
