Stanford University has miles of tree covered sidewalks and paths that wind through the campus. There is also a park at the end of Palm Drive which is a small but popular hang out for locals and their leashed dogs on warm days . To get there from downtown Palo Alto, take University Ave west toward the hills. University Ave turns into Palm Drive. There are tree lined walking paths along this street. The park is at the end of Palm. Ample parking is available.
