In 1942 amateur archaeologists discovered what they believed to be primitive stone tools at this site. Archaeologists have classified the site as a possible stone tool workshop, quarry and camp site for early nomadic hunters and gatherers. It is estimated that the soil at this site may date back to over 200,000 years. The site is open on Wednesday from 12:30pm to 4:30pm and Thursday through Sunday from 9am to 4:30pm. Guided tours are available on Wednesday at 1:30pm and 3:30pm, and on Thursday through Sunday at 9:30am, 11:30am, 1:30pm and 3:30pm. There is a $5 fee per person and less for children and seniors.
