Located in the heart of the Mohave Desert, this 1.6 million acre park offers rose-colored sand dunes, volcanic cinder cones and Joshua tree forests. The park offers hundreds of miles of dirt roads to explore the land in your own 4 wheel drive vehicle. There are many hiking opportunities including the Teutonia Peak Hike. This trail lets you explore a dense Joshua tree forest on the way to a peak on Cima Dome. The 4 mile roundtrip trail is located 10.5 miles south of I-15 on Cima Road. Dogs are allowed on trails and in the campgrounds. They must be leashed except dogs that are being used for hunting. Please clean up after your pet. For more park details and information, including maps, visit the Baker Desert Information Center in Baker. They are open all year from 9am to 5pm.
