This resort is located in a natural park-like setting with plenty of shade trees in a protected cove on the shores of California's largest natural lake. Some of the amenities include a lakefront clubhouse, cable TV, a general store, a fish cleaning station, gaming areas, spotless restrooms, showers and laundry facilities, picnic tables, BBQs, and fire pits. Well behaved dogs of all sizes are allowed for an additional fee of $2.50 per night per pet for RV and tent camping, and an additional $10 per night per pet for the cabins. Dogs will receive a 'guest at Edgewater Resort' locater tag, and they must be current on all their shots, be friendly, under owner's immediate control, and leashed and quickly cleaned up after at all times. Dogs may not be left outside alone or unattended anywhere in the park, and they may only be left alone in the cabin if they are kenneled. Dogs are allowed throughout the park and at the beach; they may even go for a supervised off-leash swim if they are under good voice command. They are not allowed in the general store, clubhouse, or the gated pool area, but there is fresh water for thirsty canine visitors outside the store. Dogs must always be brought inside at night. The camping and tent areas also allow dogs. There is a dog walk area at the campground. Dogs are allowed in the camping cabins.
