This campground is next to Shaver Lake in the Sierra National Forest. Some of the sites have lake views and all of the sites have shade from dense pines trees. The camp is at an elevation of 5,500 feet. There are 68 tent and RV sites, and RVs up to 40 feet are allowed. Amenities include water, vault toilets, picnic tables and grills. Be sure to bring some mosquito repellant. There are several trails here that provide access around the lake. Dogs are allowed at the campgrounds, on trails and in the water but only at non-designated swimming beaches. Pets must be leashed and please clean up after them. Dogs may not be left unattended. This campground is closed during the off-season. The camping and tent areas also allow dogs. There is a dog walk area at the campground. There are no electric or water hookups at the campgrounds.
