Located in the quaint village of Cardiff-by-the-Sea, "Angel Way" is a non-typical beach house (1500 sq ft) that has been updated but retains its cozy, ecletic '50's flavor. There are two bedrooms, each with a queen bed, and a single sleeper in the den/reading room accommodating five people comfortably. The bathroom has a tub as well as shower. There is an abundance of streaming light from the numerous windows and skylights with original hardwood floors and updated tile in kitchen and den.
The hillside beach house is approximately two walking blocks (thru the garden and orchard) from world-famous Swammi's Beach and across the street from the huge organic vegggie gardens cultivated by the Self-Realization Center, which adds to the tranquil, uncrowded, private, safe surroundings and open unobstructed ocean view. Angel Way is fully furnished, fully fenced and includes laundry facilities, cable tv, hi-speed internet and local telephone calling.
Located on the same property but separate and private from the beach house is a one-bedroom (queen bed) Guesthouse (650 sq ft) with it's own unique '60's charm. It is fully furnished with large kitchen, bathroom (shower only), large living room and a fenced yard and deck with an awesome (and affordable!) ocean view and ocean breezes. The plentiful tropical plants/hedges and the old California Pepper Tree are a haven for visiting birds and butterflies.
Walk to Swammi's Beach and many of the local eateries (60) and shops. Local Farmers Markets on Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday. Visit Seaside Bazaar on weekends and our favorite organic food outlets.....TraderJoe's, Henry's and Seaside Market. We provide beach gear such as chairs, towels, boogie boards and beach balls. Scripps Hospital/Encinitas is approx. one mile.
Cardiff is within close proximity to sister cities Carlsbad, Leucadia, Solona Beach, and Del Mar. Easy day trips to Balboa Park, The San Diego Zoo, Sea World, Scripps/Birch Aquarium, Legoland and Wild Animal Park. San Diego Airport is 20 miles to the south. Tijuana is 40 miles south.
Cardiff State Beach is dog-friendly (on leash) and Del Mar (3 miles) has an off-leash dog beach where dogs rule!!
