This 9 mile round trip moderate rated trail is located in the San Bernardino National Forest. Pets on leash are allowed and please clean up after them. This trail is closed every year from November 1 to April 1 due to the bald eagle wintering habitat. To get there take Highway 18 to Big Bear Lake Dam. Go straight, do not cross over the dam. Highway 18 becomes Highway 38. Go the Fawnskin Fire Station and turn left onto the Rim of the World Drive. Go about 2.5 miles on a dirt road to the campsite and trailhead.
