Next to the Big Tree Groves and only 17 miles from the Yosemite Valley, it is suggested that you get an early reservation as this popular camp site usually fills up well in advance. It sits at an altitude of 6,200 feet and offers 166 campsites; each site has a fire ring, picnic table, and a food storage locker. There is potable water and flush toilets in camp, and a Laundromat and showers nearby. Dogs are allowed here and at 7 more of the 13 campgrounds in Yosemite for no additional pet fee. Dogs may not be left unattended while tied in a campsite, and they must be leashed and cleaned up after at all times. They are not allowed in any group camp areas, on any hiking trails, beaches, in the backcountry, or in public buildings. For reservations call 877-444-6777. This RV park is closed during the off-season. The camping and tent areas also allow dogs. There is a dog walk area at the campground. There are no electric or water hookups at the campgrounds.
