As the Solvang Visitor's Bureau states, "Visiting Danes have described Solvang as 'more like Denmark than Denmark' - a remarkable tribute to the town's passion for Danish architecture, cuisine and customs." Solvang is a quaint shopping village and a great place to walk with your dog. Several stores along Mission Drive are dog-friendly like The Book Loft and Lemo's Feed & Pet Supply (please always verify that stores are dog-friendly by asking the clerk before entering). There are also many dog-friendly restaurants in town including bakeries that have mouth watering goodies. Sunset Magazine recently voted Solvang as one of the '10 Most Beautiful Small Towns' in the Western United States.
