This park is home to a unique contrast of coastal redwood groves, open grassland and flowers. Amenities include water, tables, grills, flush toilets and showers. Dogs of all sizes are allowed at no additional fee. While dogs are not allowed on the hiking trails, they are allowed on the bike trail that runs about six miles through the park. The path is nearly level and follows the Northwest Pacific Railroad right-of-way. The trail is both paved and dirt and it starts near the park entrance. Dogs are also allowed in the developed areas like the campgrounds. Pets must be leashed, and please clean up after your pet. Dogs may not be left unattended. The camping and tent areas also allow dogs. There is a dog walk area at the campground. There are no electric or water hookups at the campgrounds.
